GaN is seeking a System Administrator in support of an Army customer in Huntsville, AL. This position requires experience supporting a wide variety of technologies in a compliant, DoD environment. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of maintaining system availability and working across teams, technologies and customers to provide resolution to requests and problems.

• Responsible for the installation and configuration new hardware and software
• Responsible for monitoring the health and performance of IT systems
• Proactively resolves issues and maintains the availability of IT systems
• Provides support for escalated help desk requests
• Manages user accounts and entitlements
• Manages security permissions in accordance with organizational policies
• Must be able to deploy and maintain solutions within DoD compliance parameters
• Develop documentation for IT systems and associated processes

Requirements (minimum):

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (or related field) and 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Active CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent or greater.
• An acceptable Computing Environment certification.
• VMware ESXi, View
• Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems
• Cisco Unified Communications Support
• Networking concepts
• General Storage Area Network knowledge
• Good documentation and communication skills
• Must be self-motivated and willing to take ownership of issues

• Must have Active Secret Clearance
