Job Overview:


GaN is seeking a Jr. Cybersecurity Engineer to join our ICOFT team located in Huntsville, AL!


Program Info:

The ICOFT provides realistic institutional training in all areas of the THAAD Enhanced Operator/Maintainer operations and maintenance tasks for the THAAD Fire Control and Communication (TFCC), Radar, and Launcher components


  • DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating Systems and other networked devices, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scanning, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scanning, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA’s) required for vulnerability reporting and remediation.
  • Designs, tests, and implements secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions. 
  • Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.
  • Researches and evaluates cyber capabilities and new security tools and products against operational requirements and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy, and to support the offensive and defensive capability design and troubleshoot and problem solve technical and non-technical issues.


Requirements (minimum):

  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; 4 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree
  • Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and Control Correlation Identifiers (CCI’s) is desired.
  • Prior experience supporting Cybersecurity assessments required by accrediting authorities.
  • Prior experience with audit log review
  • Prior experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) systems
  • Prior experience in developing operating manuals and other related documentation
  • Prior experience with VMware/vSphere
  • Prior experience with Linux and Solaris 10
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS)


Special Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance to be considered
