Job Overview:


GaN  has an exciting opportunity for an Administrative Specialist in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB).

Responsibilities

  • Complete in-processing requests for new hires in Colorado Springs (COS) and Huntsville (HSV)
  • Complete out-processing requests for resigned/terminated personnel in COS and HSV
  • Work with local IT personnel to ensure equipment/software is delivered to new hires
  • Work with local security personnel to ensure all badges are access are in place for new hires
  • Maintain and monitor a list of all expirations for badges and VARs to ensure continued access
  • Escort new hires and interviewees into the SSFB Restricted Area for orientation and/or interview
  • Complete other new hire paperwork, as required
  • Learn and understand training requirements to act as backup to the training coordinator
  • Ensure compliance with all prime contractor directives and deadlines for SAIC employees
  • Assist with the collection and creation of materials for briefings
  • Learn and understand the Indicium travel process to act as a backup to the planning team
  • Review the Team Availability Spreadsheet regularly to ensure ICES personnel are accurately displayed and allocated
  • Infrequent travel to HSV to learn how processes differ from COS to HSV
  • Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by the ICES Program Manager/Deputy PM

Qualifications

Requirements (minimum):

  • High School and two (2) years or more related experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Capable of working with a distributed team
  • Capable of following and understanding complex processes with many participants
  • Travel from COS to HSV (Less than 10% per year and up to 5 days at a time)

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous work in the MDIOC, to include understanding of entry/exit procedures
  • Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and its hierarchy
  • Experience with the processes and systems employed by MDA
  • Experience with the processes and systems employed by S3I/Army
  • Experience as an administrative specialist in a DoD environment

 

Special Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have an ACTIVE secret security clearance
