Job Overview:

GaN is seeking a project specialist to join our team to support the ongoing needs of our corporate office in Huntsville, AL.
This position will be critical to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will take it as their personal challenge to see that there is operational sustainability and continued growth across all business units. You will often find yourself acting as the proxy to the CEO and others, taking part in client engagement, meetings, and events. You may act as a project manager for specific projects, which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information and organizing companywide events. You will handle confidential and non-routine information and other assignments as needed by the leadership team.


  • Act as the point of contact for the project team and facilitate communications.
  • Contract execution, including managing contract deliverables.
  • Break down project tasks, define set goals, and estimate timeframe to completion.
  • Monitor project progress and work with project management to address any potential issues.
  • Act as a meeting coordinator: schedule meetings, and record minutes and action items
  • Meet between teams for specific projects/programs and deliver a monthly report on project performance to senior leadership.
  • Develop appropriate recording procedures in compliance with company requirements.
  • Translate strategies into plans that can be effectively executed to create efficiencies within the organization.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.


Requirements (minimum):


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Communication related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, editing, and/or program control.
  • Prior experience as a project coordinator or administrator is highly desired
  • Familiarity with flowcharts, technical documentation, and schedules
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations, demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Effective communication skills across multiple professional disciplines
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/ projects simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated history of providing key job duties for executive leadership
  • Translate strategies into plans that can be effectively executed
  • Create efficiencies within the organization
  • Experience with contract management
  • Knowledge of technical processes and procedures preferred.


Special Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain government security clearance
