GaN Corporation is now accepting applications for an IT Administrator to support the GaN home office.  The candidate will work with a team of IT administrators but is expected to be experienced enough to carry the workload should the other team members be out of the office or supporting other activities. This position requires initiative, multi-tasking skills, and an ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision on all assignments. Our team consists of people with exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills who are amiable and outgoing.  We are always ethical partners with our customers, maintaining a professional demeanor while being dedicated to superior customer service, quality, and team building.  To be a part of this team, you must be self-motivated and self-directed to work independently, but also be open and communicative to work as a team to exceed all GaN and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

Primary duties will include workstation support including setup of new systems, help desk service, password resets, and general troubleshooting. The candidate will also be responsible for phone system management (PBX), printer setup and connection for employees, and new account creation. In addition, server maintenance and setup will be necessary.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience desired 

 

Required Skills:

  • Prior experience in IT within a corporate environment
  • Competent with regards to Windows and Linux system administration
  • Experience with Windows systems such as SharePoint, Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, Active Directory
  • Experience with or knowledge of anti-virus protection
  • Webserver experience (IIS, Apache, Nginx)
  • Experience managing Office 365 and Azure in a hybrid environment
  • Experience managing virtual machines in HyperV
  • Network administration experience

 

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Palo Alto firewall configuration
  • Knowledge of PBX phone systems
  • Experience managing websites
  • Debian based Linux distribution knowledge
  • Active security clearance (not required, but desired)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess Security Clearance specified below
