GaN Corporation is now accepting resumes for a Modeling and Simulation Subject Matter Expert II to support the Test Technology Support and Services contract. This position requires initiative, multi-tasking skills, and an ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision on all assignments.


Responsible for setup and configuration of computer systems and networks in support of test operations and data collection. This includes configuring networks, systems administration, loading software, managing configuration settings, collecting network data, analyzing data, and troubleshooting. Included in the scope of operations are virtual machine environments. Candidate will be working with highly skilled network and computer technicians to ensure full functionality and data flow across a federation of computer systems, simulations, and network data collectors. Candidate will harden operating systems and networks to standards in accordance with the Army’s Risk Management Framework. Support includes operational testing at Ft Hood or temporary locations across the country.


Required Education: Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred. (Will consider a H.S. diploma with qualifying prerequisites)


Required Skills:


  • The candidate must possess the ability to learn advanced techniques of configuring and operating constructive simulations and use those tools in support of operational test planning and execution.
  • Candidate must possess advanced skills in managing Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Security + certification is required.
  • Ability to configure Cisco routers and switches is required. CCNA certification is not required, but CCNA training is a plus.

Desired Skills include working knowledge of:

  • Linux operating systems
  • Virtual machine environments

Special Requirements: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess or be eligible for a Secret security clearance
