  • Overview

    We are looking for a test engineer to join our growing team. They must have strong, firsthand technical expertise and the proven ability to fashion robust information testing solutions for support of Department of Defense (DoD programs). Engineer will be able to work as an individual or in a group while testing instrumentation products. The successful candidate must be at ease working with the program team and our US Government customer in an agile development environment with little supervision. This position requires strong critical thinking/analytical skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a sustained commitment to excellence and quality with a passion for continuous improvement and self-driven development.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsibilities include testing, test plan creation, scripting, automation, storage protocols, network protocols, interoperability, data analysis and information assurance.
    • Articles to be tested include experimental, Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and commercial products that are not currently released to the market.
    • Testing will include validating both hardware and software capabilities for select products.
    • Approximately 10% travel to U.S. Government test centers and other locations may be required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related degree program (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Information Management Systems).
    • Possesses the necessary skills to work in a highly collaborative, inclusive, and agile atmosphere in partnership with cross-functional teams.
    • Experience with developing tests plans, timing precision and accuracy tests, and diagnostics on automated test equipment is required.
    • Cisco networking certifications, such as CCNA and knowledge of federal and DoD guidance to include DoD 8500.1, DoDI 8500.2, DoDI 8510.01, SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 is desired.
    • Must have Security+ certification and be able to obtain and maintain a computing environment certification (Microsoft, RedHat, Linux+, etc.) within 6 months of hire.
    • Experience in XP, AGILE or SCRUM desired.
    • Must be a US Citizen and have or be able to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance and a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

    Required Skills

    • Experience with logic analyzers, Voltmeters, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, traffic generators/analyzers such as Ixia/Spirent, packet sniffers/Wireshark.
    • Debug experience in hardware, software, device, and/or manufacturing domains.
    • Effective troubleshooting and analytical skills and familiarity with Pareto analysis to drive the debug process.
    • Exposure to Hardware Description Languages, C++, Java, C or C# and MATLAB.
    • Familiarity with Testing of Complex Network Devices including Switching, Routing & Security Systems.
    • Proficiency in the following technologies: IEEE 802.x protocols, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP), QoS and Multicast.
