GaN Corporation is now accepting resumes for a Graphics Application Engineer to support the U.S. Army and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in the Indicium Project Office. This position requires a software developer capable of designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced graphics technology including the next generation of three dimensional globe technology.

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or related technical degree; significant experience can be used in lieu of degree
  • 4+ years of experience


Required Skills:

  • Software Development in .NET C#
  • Professional software engineering experience, working on multi-discipline teams.
  • Strong fundamentals in computer science topics including; 3D math, object-oriented design, algorithms, computer networks, and data structures with primary emphasis on.NET C# and, to a lesser extent, C++.
  • Knowledge of DirectX, OpenGL, and/or other major graphic APIs.
  • High level of comfort working with different coordinate systems (Cartesian, WGS84, etc.)
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills providing you the ability to work on shared projects with designers, artists, testers, and other developers.
  • Active Security Clearance or the ability to acquire one.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time

Desired Skills:

  • Software Development in C/C++, Java, Python, VHDL
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • Multiple years of experience developing robust and efficient graphics software using aforementioned graphic APIs. (Example portfolio pieces = bonus points).
  • Experience with graphics performance profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with hardware acceleration for graphics applications.
  • Knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL) and the BMDS test environment
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Maya, 3DSMax, Z-Brush, and Mudbox.
  • Unity, Unreal, or other 3D game engine development experience.
  • Experience interacting with SQL databases.
