GaN is seeking an controls engineer for an exciting development project starting soon. The engineer will be part of a small multi-disciplined team that will design, build, integrate, test, verify, and validate a complex test system that will be installed on Redstone Arsenal to support Aviation system testing. The project will include a large electro-mechanical system, a stabilized platform, electro-optic equipment, software, models and simulations, instrumentation and electronics, and minor construction. Candidates will also be considered for project software lead.

Design and implement a real-time control system for multiple electro-mechanical subsystems
Write real-time control software that integrates an all-digital six degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) simulation with hardware components
(Optional) Serve as lead software developer for entire project
(Optional) Serve as lead software architect for entire project
BS in Controls Engineering or Electrical Engineering or other engineering field if with controls experience.
Experience with MatLab and Simulink
Experience with DIS or TENA
Experience with RedHat Linux
FPGA development / programming
Ability to program Arduino devices
