GaN is seeking an electronics technician for an exciting development project starting soon. The technician will be part of a small multi-disciplined team that will design, build, integrate, test, verify, and validate a complex test system that will be installed on Redstone Arsenal to support Aviation system testing. The project will include a large electro-mechanical system, a stabilized platform, electro-optic equipment, software, models and simulations, instrumentation and electronics, and minor construction.   • Design and build of basic electronic systems

  • Assembly of electronics, wiring, cables, and enclosures

  • Documentation of electronic designs

  • Working with enegineers and subject matter experts to design and develop custom instrumentation systems for collecting data on rain and dust


  • Associates degree in Electronics or similar techical degree

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of eight years' experience as an electronics technician

  • Design of basic electronic circuits

  • Ability to document custom electronic designs to meet applicable documentation standards

  • Candidate must be personable and out-going.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times.

  • Dedicated to customer service, quality, and team building.

  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently.
Additional Skillsets of Interest:  
  • FPGA development / programming

  • Ability to program Arduino devices

  • C/C++/C#, Java, Python

  •  Ability to perform basic mechanical drafting in support of technical data package development

  •  Experience with 3D printing

  • Familiarity with Army Aviation and Rotary Wing Aviation (RWA) platforms and components

  • Familiarity with Army test and evaluation (T&E)
