Overview

GaN Corporation is developing non-conventional cyber capabilities and is now accepting applications from highly qualified candidates for positions as part-time on-call Computer Engineers to support the various contracts GaN serves, such as RTC Technology Engineer Services (TES), RTC Engineering and Support Services Contract, OTC Test Technology Support Services (TTSS),  and Software Engineering Directorate (SED) Strategic Systems Engineering Support.. You will be working to advance cyber warfare technologies with experts in cyber and computing technologies. This position requires initiative, multi-tasking skills, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision on all assignments.

Responsibilities

This position will best be filled by someone who has a passion for computer architecture and cyber solutions, and will provide:

  • an integrated approach to coordinated cyber threats
  • maleware analysis
  • security vulnerability assessment
  • development of advanced microsystems

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, (CS or other technical areas will be considered).
  • Between 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Seeking professionals who are open and flexible to work on-call, part-time.

 

Required Skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer architecture, including distributed computing and other related subjects
  • Thorough knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, digital circuits, microprocessors, and compilers
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently
    • Have a desire to learn, and able to work as a member of a team under technical supervision
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times
  • Dedicated to customer service, quality, and team building

 

Desired Skills:

  • Masters degree in a technical field 
  • Experience assessing the potential impacts of cyber vulnerabilities and threats
  • Certification: CISSP, CEH, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP, SSCP, GCIA, GCED, GCFA, GCLC
  • Experience with Federal Government and DOD systems, policies, procedures, and standards for IA/security, including DIACAP, FISMA, and NIST
